Pakistani investigators have questioned two men from Bahawalpur in Punjab province for their alleged links to Ajmal Amir Qasab, the lone terrorist captured by India during the Mumbai attacks.
A team from the Federal Investigation Agency, the Pakistani body probing the Mumbai terror strikes, interrogated Shahid Ghafoor and Shahid Nazir, both residents of Bahawalpur, over two days.
Law enforcement agencies in Bahawalpur were not aware of the questioning of the two men till last morning, The News daily quoted its sources as saying.
The sources said the FIA team had made no breakthrough during its investigation in Bahawalpur. No further details were immediately available. Bahawalpur is considered one of the main bases of the outlawed Jaish-e-Mohammed led by Maulana Masood Azhar.
