'Assassin' on the run after sending the threat e-mail to FBI agents; also threatened to blow up USA's largest mall
Timothy Ryan Gutierrez (20) is on the run after giving the FBI 48 hours to save the US president.

Gutierrez had sent agents an email saying he was targeting Barack Obama eight days before Obama's inauguration.
It read, "I'm going to assassinate the new president of the United States of America you have 48 hours to stop it from happening."
In a second e-mail he urged agents to get a move on and threatened to blow up the Mall of America in Minnesotau00a0the country's largest retail and entertainment complex.

He wrote: "What are you waiting for? You have 48 hours, remember?
"And one more thing... I have rigged 40 pounds of C4 and my favourite, TNT, to seven cars outside the Mall of America.

"Good luck, thank you and God bless. You know the rest. Time is wasting."
Gutierrez, who allegedly sent the emails from his home in the US state of Colorado, is now missing.

No explosives were found and he is no longer considered a major threat.

Gutierrez faces charges of the transmission of threats and falsely threatening to use explosives. He could be jailed for up to 15 years.
