Pakistan's Minister for Works and Services, Zulfiqar Mirza has threatened to kill a Geo television reporter while disallowing his news crew from covering his tour of the M A Jinnah Road Light House area.
The Minister's security men snatched the equipment of the media team at gunpoint and threatened reporter Shoaib Burney.
Later, police tried to bundle the Geo News team into a police mobile. The Minister reportedly snatched the identity cards of the news crew.
Journalists have termed the senior minister's behaviour as 'savage and shameful' and called the incident a blatant attack on the freedom of the press.
