Terrorism: My birthright

The skirmishes between India and Pakistan are reaching a new low of shamelessness and irrationality, a new phenomenon of Gandhism (Gandhi-giri) is manifesting itself (Varun Gandhi giri!!).

The skirmishes between India and Pakistan are reaching a new low of shamelessness and irrationality, a new phenomenon of Gandhism (Gandhi-giri) is manifesting itself (Varun Gandhi giri!!).

We can beat the Pakistanis at almost everything but not at barefaced, brazen shamelessness. Sending a young terrorist with orders to sabotage Mumbai, (no doubt it takes courage or insanity.)u00a0 And then they seek shelter behind India's kindly judicial systemu00a0 he now claims that he is an adolescent, and that he should not be tried in an adult court.u00a0Among 'young' Kasab's growing demands for this and that, he wants perfumes, an Urdu newspaper, his favourite lawyer and, I hear, chicken for his meals.u00a0

Will he, won't he: Varun Gandhi and his supporters are slowly losing their expectation of his being voted PM or at least BJP youth leader file pic

Pakistan denies everything including the young terrorist's nationality and that he ever came to India, despite all concrete eveidence to the contrary.

Meanwhile Varun Gandhi and his supporters (including Mummy Dear Maneka) are slowly losing their expectation of his being voted PM as his case clearly merits PM, or at least BJP youth leader. He seems as reckless and as feckless as his late father Sanjay. One encouraging aspect of the new splinter politics is that some one is always pushing for legal action against someone else. And the courts are actuallyu00a0 backing the law, positively and aggressively. So, for the moment, Varun-baba, the young hero of Hindutva, is back to jail.

Which is not to provide any justification for the 'underage' terrorist from the Arabian Sea and his dastardly country. Benazir should have known better than to entrust her life with her country. But, now what is done is done. And we are all on the verge of being splattered in a Nuclear fallout.

So what is the solution? All the countries around the Indian Ocean are populated by ethnic Asians who look similar to one another. So it is easier to surreptitiously sneak across borders, mingle with the populace and creep around under cover of night.

But that's enough paper and print wasted on Pakistani thugs. It leaves me speculating what would have happened if the 'sub-continent' had not fragmented itself. As it is, there are innumerable parties and their political aspirants, not to mention innumerable Prime Ministers-in-waiting.

One wonders if the Brits had not colonised this country, how different things would have been. We like to blame it all on 'Divide and Rule'. That was/is true. But not half as true as the self-splintering the sub-continent has been going through.

The other thing I wonder is if Mir Kasab was a by-product of Gandhian pacifism, a gentleness of which the Paks are taking advantage.

Shri Varun of course could only be a by-product of his venerable forebear Sanjayji and his mother Manekaji. And his godfathers Shri Lal Krishna Advani, Narendra Modi and Raj Thackeray. He is a brave boy, shameless, unrepentant and unabashed.u00a0

But no more 'turning the other cheek'. The new mantra is communalism and sabotage is my birthright.
