It was shocking to read Shah Rukh's comments in reply to Sunil Gavaskar's observations about the multiple captain theory. For SRK to say that Gavaskar has not played T20 and hence he should not comment on such games is audacious. There have been a number of celebrated cricket writers who have never played the game, but are respected all over the world for their knowledge of the game.
After all, T20 is also cricket, just reduced to a shorter tamasha-version to rake in the moolah. SRK's other statement that he owns the team and he is free to do what he wants and those who criticise should first own a team too was ridiculous. This would be akin to lambasting film critics just because they haven't produced, directed or acted in a film.
SRK would do well to pause and think before making such comments against legends like Sunil Gavaskar.
