This is with reference to the ongoing tussle between Bollywood producers and distributors over the profit-sharing issue. Why should the average moviegoer pay Rs 250 for Billu, an SRK film, and the same for a flop film like Videsh?
If a film is made on a budget of Rs 30 crore and another in Rs 3 crore, the ticket should be priced accordingly.
The public doesn't have to take sides in this war between the film producers and distributors. Let us boycott all Bollywood films till they decide to reduce ticket prices. Let us just stop going to the theatres.
Filmmakers are making crores when the common man is not even sure of keeping his job during the economic downturn. This is unfair.u00a0u00a0u00a0
