I recently learned the virtue of patience. I was preparing for my role in my upcoming film Angel when I met this young girl. She is the same age as me but she suffers from cerebral palsy and is unable to speak or move properly.
Her mother has been bringing her to the hospital for the last 11 years.
Initially, she was in a vegetative state but now she has recovered to a stage where she can take a few steps and try to eat on her own. It's her mother's support, which has given this girl the courage to fight and recover, albeit partially. I learnt from meeting her that if we give seemingly hopeless cases our support and encouragement, there will be no need for mercy killing.
