My News readers express their joy at the Indian cricket team winning a Test match in New Zealand after 33 years

The Indian cricket team has executed a clinical victory at Hamilton and beat New Zealand convincingly in the first Test. It was a treat to watch batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar play some magical shots.

Jai Ho! : The Indian cricket team celebrates after the Hamilton Test victory in New Zealand

M S Dhoni has done it again in style, this time in New Zealand. His captaincy was good and he was in control right through the match. But we need to improve our bowling and fielding. It is improved over the years, but we are not able to maintain the pressure after the initial wickets. The Indian support team along with Gary Kirsten need to be commended for their wonderful effort.

Congrats to the entire team for this great victory. They need to continue this habit of winning.

Wah, Sachin wah!
Heartiest congratulations to the Indian cricket team for achieving a record Test win in New Zealand after 33 years. They beat the Kiwis in the first Test at Hamilton by 10 wickets. They were totally outplayed in all departments of the game by the Indians.

Dhoni's team is creating one record after another and I am confident that the team will win the National Bank Test series like the One Day series, a first after many years.

Among the main architects of the win in the first Test were Man of the Match Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid (whose return to form is good news for the team) and Zaheer Khan.

When it came to bowling, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma and Munaf Patel played a vital role. Even though Zaheer was unlucky not to get wickets due to dropped catches, he compensated for it by scoring a belligerent 51 in the first innings.

Congratulations to Sachin for notching up his 42nd Test ton and to Zaheer Khan for taking his 200th Test wicket.

Best of luck to Dhoni and Co for winning the Test series as well. They are sure to create history on this tour.
