When a 32-year-old rubber tapper dialed a wrong number one day, little did he know that the woman who answered the call would be the one for him

And when Bakri Setapa finally met with Siti Habsiah Mohamad for the first time and saw her physical disability, and the fact that she walked on her knees, he was fascinated by her, her character and her determination to live and work like a normal person.

He knew then that he was falling in love with her.

On Sunday, the couple finally tied the knot.

Their wedding reception, held at the bride's house in Kampung Pangkal Kala, Bunut Susu on Monday was sponsored by the villagers with the cooperation of the Malay rights group Perkasa and its president Datuk Ibrahim Ali, who is also Pasir Mas MP.

"It's true that our love story began when I wanted to call a friend but dialled the wrong number instead. Somehow, we decided to keep in touch," the Star Online quoted Setapa as saying at the reception.

Among the guests at the reception were Ibrahim and Kelantan Perkasa president Mohd Fauzi Mohamad, who is also former Tendong assemblyman.

Siti Habsiah, the second of seven siblings, works as an assistant tailor after undergoing a basic tailoring course in 2007 and is planning to open her own tailoring shop one day.

Her mother, Siah Abdullah, 46, also expressed her happiness with her daughter's marriage.

"I am grateful to Allah because she finally found her soulmate who can accept her and her physical disability," she said.
