London: A bizarre auction has seen an eBay user successfully sell six twigs for an incredible £62, more than £10 for each stick. Seller Whackychop said that each bit of wood has personality like members of the Spice Girls.

After the sale, Whackychop posted: "I sold twigs on eBay for £62. I bet no one on The Apprentice does that."
The auction ended yesterday and was sold after 27 bids. The twigs are described as coming from De Beauvoir Square in Hackney, an upmarket area where terrace houses cost upwards of £1million.
The item description said: "You try and offer your child a new twig, but what you don't understand is that like the Spice Girls each twig has it's own character ... I have a set of six travel-size twigs, each with a unique personality so you never have to come unstuck.
"These twigs come from De Beauvoir Square... thus making these premium twigs and not everyday rubbish."
Whackychop, an alias for Hackney-based Babak Ganjei (35), said: "Being an artist trying to make a living in music and film is rather ominous. With all the streaming and illegal downloading I thought it would be interesting to see what people would pay for.
"I didn't expect to have 1,237 people watching the Twigs at the end of the week."
