It is modelled on a 34B T-shirt bra and is almost the size of two tennis courts, weighing the equivalent of 1,800 traditionalbras. The director of Chillisauce.co.uk, Adrian Simpson, whose group is auctioning off the bra, said he hoped the auction would do a great deal of good for the campaign.
"Our aim in auctioning the bra is to build awareness and involvement in Wear It Pink Day as well as raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign in the process," he said. Those interested in the item don't have much longer to bid, with the auction coming to a close this Sunday.
Whoever does win will not only get the bra itself but also a copy of the Guinness World Records official certificate. The oversized piece of lingerie first made headlines in October last year, when it was suspended from the ITV Tower in London.
This was done in conjunction with last year's Wear It Pink Day. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0u00a0
