The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials have launched a manhunt for Chhota Shakeel aide Ali Kasam, after the gangster stabbed a woman at Amboli late yesterday evening


The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials have launched a manhunt for Chhota Shakeel aide Ali Kasam, after the gangster stabbed a woman at Amboli late yesterday evening.

According to ATS police inspector A Dhoipode, Kasam stabbed a woman in Monarch Building, which falls under the jurisdiction of Amboli police station on Sunday evening. The incident relates to forcing the victim to vacate her residence, Dhoipode further added.

The police had arrested Kasam a few months ago, and had recovered 12 revolvers from him. But Kasam had got bail on medical grounds.

Since the past few weeks, Kasam and his nephew Guddu have gone on a rampage. The duo is in the business of forcibly vacating tenants from Lokhandwala and adjoining areas. The local police at Amboli are assessing the threat to the woman.

A case is yet to be registered at the police station. ATS officials denied furnishing anymore details on the matter.
