Upset that the death of Chirag Patel (11) during a school picnic has been registered as an accident, his family has decided to approach the high court for redressal.

Laxmanbhai Patel, Chirag's uncle, said, "We don't have any faith in the police.

They are taking too long to find the culprit who killed our child.

We will now approach the high court within a week to resolve the matter as soon as possible. We are consulting our advocate on the best course of action."

Another uncle of Chirag alleged, "When we went to search for Chirag at night, the resort didn't bother to get us lights to aid our search.

They said the resort was closed, so they could not help us."

Chirag, a student of Koparkhairne's Jijamata Convent School, went missing during a school picnic to Dehu Road Sentosa Resort and Water Park.

His body was found in the filtration tank of the swimming pool on December 22. Two resort employees and one teacher were arrested for their negligence.
The Other Side

Nitin Gokawe, senior police inspector, said, "We arrested three people and they were released on bail. Investigations are on. We are yet to determine the cause of the accident."
