Komal Singh, the Air India (AI) stewardess who had filed a complaint alleging she was molested by two pilots in October last year, is reportedly following the developments in the Ruchika Girhotra case.

She feels she too may have to commit suicide to prove the culprit's guilt, say family members.

Since the airline has restricted her from speaking to the media, Komal refused to comment. However, elder sister Poonam (28) said, "She is very upset with the Ruchika case.

She spends most of her time watching television for updates on the case. We hope she will not do what Ruchika did."

Hema (44), Komal's mother, said, "A highu2013level agency should investigate my daughter's case.

I want her to overcome this trauma, otherwise I fear it will take her life. Like Ruchika, she produced all the proof, but AI is sitting on it to protect the culprits.

Added Poonam, "We are waiting for the chargesheet based on Komal's FIR to be filed so we can take the next step."

Komal's Claims

AKomal Singh had alleged that two pilots, Aditya Chopra and Ranvir Arora, had molested her on board a Sharjah-Lucknow-Delhi flight on October 3 last year. She also filed an FIR against them. AI instituted an enquiry committee, which claimed the allegations were false.

Ruchika Case

Former DGP S P S Rathore molested Ruchika Girhotra 19 years ago. She fought for justice for three years in vain, and finally committed suicide. Last month, Rathore was given just six months' imprisonment for his crime. He is now out on interim bail till January 7.

Tribal Raped

Former DIG Madhukar Tandon allegedly raped a tribal woman in 1997. He is absconding. The case was brought to light by MP Kirori Lal Meena, who was arrested last week in Jaipur for staging a dharna seeking justice for the victim.
