US Urges India To 'Ask Putin' to end Russia-Ukraine War | WATCH

Amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the US has asked India to use its strong ties with Russia to persuade President Putin to stop the war. The US State Department said India`s long-standing relationship with Russia gives it a unique position to urge Putin for peace and respect Ukraine`s sovereignty. They emphasized India`s importance as a partner in managing relations with Russia. This comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s visit to Russia drew criticism from Ukraine`s President, who called it harmful to peace efforts.  The US hopes India can help bring a lasting peace in the conflict.
