Priyanka Gandhi sworn in as Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad - Watch video

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took the oath as the new Lok Sabha member from Wayanad, Kerala, on Thursday morning. She wore a traditional Kerala saree, known as kasavu, and held a red-bound copy of the Constitution, a symbol made famous by her brother, Rahul Gandhi, to highlight concerns that the ruling BJP may be altering or undermining its principles. Priyanka replaces Rahul as the Wayanad MP after he gave up the seat to retain his family stronghold in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. With this, Priyanka becomes the third member of the Gandhi family in Parliament, joining her mother Sonia Gandhi, who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan.
