Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to visit Russia in July, as reported by Reuters citing Russian state news agency RIA on June 25. During the trip, he is expected to meet President Vladimir Putin. This will be Modi`s first visit to Russia since 2019 and notably his first since the Russia-Ukraine war began in 2022. Putin, who recently started his fifth term as Russian President, last met Modi in September 2022 at a summit in Uzbekistan. During that meeting, Modi urged for dialogue to resolve the Ukraine conflict, reiterating India`s stance for peace amid the ongoing hostilities.
