On September 17, the National Flag hoisting ceremony took place at the new Parliament building ahead of the special session of the Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the National Flag at Gaj Dwar. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was also present during the flag-hoisting ceremony. However, Congress Chief and Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge didn’t attend the event.
