Mumbai city experienced intense rainfall, with over 300 mm recorded in six hours from 1 am to 7 am on July 08, as reported by the BMC. Due to the heavy rains, Mumbai witnessed massive Waterlogging in many parts of the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for parts of central Maharashtra on July 7 and 8. Maharashtra is likely to see very heavy rainfall over the next five days. The heavy rain also led to the cancellation of some trains by the Central Railways. The BMC assured that all its departments are actively working to manage the situation.
