On September 15, a building collapse resulted in three fatalities and left six people trapped under the debris, according to District Magistrate Deepak Meena. Rescue efforts are underway with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Meerut building collapse site, though heavy rain is complicating their work. Deepak Meena, the district magistrate, said that that out of the 14 people initially trapped, eight have been rescued so far. However, three of these rescued individuals have unfortunately died. The remaining six people are still stuck in the rubble. Rescue teams are prioritizing saving these last trapped individuals and continuing their search and recovery operations despite the challenging weather conditions.
