In a tragic incident, more than 150 people have been injured and 8 are in serious condition, in a fireworks accident in Neeleswaram. The incident of Kerala Firecracker Tragedy occurred around midnight. The injured have been shifted to hospitals. 154 people injured in fireworks accident during `Theyyam` celebration in Veerarkavu Temple. A case has been registered against 8 temple committee members under non-bailable sections for conducting fireworks without permission and violating guidelines. The FIR states that the careless display led to a fire in the fireworks storage area.
