Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has been killed in a helicopter crash in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. As per the reports by Iran state media, several senior Iranian officials were also killed alongside Raisi in the helicopter crash. Reportedly, the helicopter that was carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made a rough landing on May 19. The aircraft had gone missing in the mountains of northwestern Iran. President Raisi was returning from a ceremony to open a dam on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan when his helicopter crashed.
