Farmers Protest: Farmers begin 'Dilli Chalo' march from Fatehgarh Sahib and Shambhu Border

Farmers began their `Dilli Chalo` march from Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab and Haryana’s Shambhu Border on February 13. Notably, farmers are protesting over their demands, which include the ‘MSP guarantee law’ and debt waiver. Earlier in the day, security measures intensified at the Shambhu border ahead of the scheduled Farmers protests. Barricades and barbed wires have been erected at the borders of Delhi. As part of security measures, the Delhi Police has imposed a month-long ban on public meetings and tractors and trolleys entering Delhi. A robust force of more than 2000 personnel, including CAPF, Crime Branch staff, and battalions, is ready to maintain security and address any untoward incidents.
