Diwali, also known as Deepawali, is one of the most cherished festivals in India and among Hindus worldwide. Celebrated over five days, this Festival of Lights symbolizes joy, prosperity, and happiness. It begins with Dhanteras and culminates in Bhai Dooj, occurring on the darkest night of the Hindu month of Kartik, known as Kartik Amavasya. Homes and streets are adorned with diyas and candles, families wear new clothes, exchange gifts, and enjoy delicious traditional foods. The festival commemorates Lord Rama`s return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana, with people lighting diyas to welcome him home. On this occasion, we went out to the streets of Mumbai to see how well people know the Ramayana and its tale.
