Congress leader Jairam Ramesh praises Dr. Manmohan Singh’s leadership & statesmanship

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh praised former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, calling him a leader with great impact and statesmanship. He compared Singh to Lal Bahadur Shastri, describing him as “a man without enemies.” Ramesh said that those currently in power, who have recently been praising Dr. Singh and recalling his contributions, should reflect on his character. He pointed out that Dr. Singh`s brief, 4-minute speech on demonetization had a powerful impact on the government. Ramesh also noted that although Dr. Singh did not speak often when in opposition, when he did speak, everyone listened, emphasizing his influence and respect.
