CM Yogi Adityanath attacks Rahul Gandhi’s “Raja, Maharaja” remarks

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent remarks about Indian heritage, particularly on Raja and Maharaja, stating that "accidental Hindus" like Gandhi cannot appreciate the rich traditions of India. He noted that people who are unfamiliar with the country`s history and geography often make irrelevant statements. Reflecting on Gandhi`s comments, Yogi Adityanath recalled that Gandhi once described himself as an "accidental Hindu." The Chief Minister emphasized that India has a diverse and vibrant heritage, with contributions from sages, Maharajas, and various segments of society. He also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi has seemingly overlooked the atrocities committed by the Mughals in their attempts to Islamize India. According to Yogi Adityanath, it`s unfortunate that those who refer to themselves as "accidental Hindus" struggle to take pride in India`s rich cultural legacy.
