In the heart of India`s history stands a man who reshaped the nation`s soul. A champion of equality, justice, and the oppressed. We are talking about Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Born in 1891 in a small village in Madhya Pradesh, Ambedkar rose from the harsh grip of caste discrimination to become one of India`s greatest visionaries. An economist, a jurist, a social reformer, a political leader, an orator, an advanced thinker — he was a man of many hats, but above all, he was a fighter for justice. On every 6th of December, we celebrate his death anniversary, a day to honor and reflect on his immense contributions to India`s social justice movement, his fight for Dalit rights, and his role in shaping modern India. The day is observed as Mahaparinirvan Divas every year to honor the memory of  Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Thousands of people visit Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai, his final resting place, to pay their respects. As we celebrate B.R. Ambedkar`s death anniversary, let us take a look at his contributions to the nation and what he did for Dalits.
