The recent Bangladesh protests have turned deadly, with at least 93 people killed and a total death toll of 300 in just three weeks, making it the deadliest period in the country`s civil movement. The violence erupted as people demanded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. Protesters have urged others to stop paying taxes and sending money home through banks. The situation worsened when Awami League members clashed with demonstrators. In response, the government has imposed a strict curfew, shut down 4G mobile internet, and closed public and private offices, including banks, for three days. India has advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Bangladesh. Earlier protests were sparked by calls to change a quota system for civil service jobs. Watch video for more.
