Bangladesh protests have caused severe destruction in many parts of the country. On August 4, violent clashes erupted in Dhaka and other parts of the country, resulting in the deaths of over 50 people and thousands more injured. The violence was sparked by protests against the government of Sheikh Hasina, with demonstrators expressing anger over alleged government abuses. In response, the government has imposed a curfew and declared a three-day general holiday from August 5 to 7 to ensure public safety. Internet access was disrupted, and social media platforms were blocked for nearly six hours as part of the authorities` measures. Police used tear gas and stun grenades to try to control the crowds.
