After the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the Centre has tightened its grip on terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing in Rajya Sabha, issued a stern warning to terrorists. The Home Minister highlighted how Centre has changed ‘funeral culture’ of terrorists in Kashmir. Notably, Amit Shah reiterated former CDS Gen Bipin Rawat’s remarks who always stood firm against terrorism. Then Army Chief Rawat, on Sep 27, 2017, said that Indian Army was ready to receive the terrorists and send them to their right place, their graves. Notably, in recent times, no stone-pelting incidents, terrorist attacks were reported in the Union Territory.
