Amid all the controversy over the film’s story, a screening of the contentious movie ‘The Kerala Story’ was held at Jawaharlal Nehru University on May 02. The controversy-ridden film received remarkable support from University students in the form of heavy cheers and slogans. Filmmakers Sudipto Sen, Vipul Amrutlal along with actor Adah Sharma also held an interactive session with the audience. While in conversation with the students, Film Director Sen also advocated his intentions. Opening up about the possible troubles, Adah Sharma and Sen openly expressed their expectations of the film’s reactions. The response the team received was positive amid the troubles that it’s facing in Kerala by some political parties. ‘The Kerala Story’ is due to release on May 5, for which many are eagerly waiting to finally watch it. The Kerala Story is garnering a lot of backlash from Indian National Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) party over its context. The movie is padded around the 2016 Kerala case where several girls went reportedly missing and were reportedly converted to join ISIS.
