Muslims in Kashmir observe fast during Ramadan

Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir observed fast and prayed in mosques as they marked the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan, which began on June 19 this year, is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar calendar and traditionally a time of religious fervour, settling old disputes and performing charitable deeds towards the less fortunate.
