A stampede occurred at Bandra station early on October 27, injuring nine people as passengers rushed to board the delayed Bandra-Gorakhpur Express. CCTV footage circulating on social media captures the chaotic scene as crowds pushed and shoved to enter the train. The train, scheduled to depart at 5:15 AM, arrived late at platform number 1, prompting a surge of passengers around 2:55 AM. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) attributed the chaos to the festive rush leading up to Diwali, with demand for seats far exceeding the platform`s capacity.
