Opposition members in Lok Sabha demanded a statement from the government regarding the breach in Parliament security.

Leaders of various opposition parties held a meeting and collectively demanded that the breach in Parliament security be taken seriously.

The Opposition leaders emphasised on the necessity of discussing this matter in both houses of Parliament.

Several Congress MPs, including Mallikarjun Kharge, issued adjournment notices in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, urging a discussion on the security breach while prioritizing this issue over other parliamentary business.

According to Rajya Sabha MP Naseer Hussain's adjournment notice, two unauthorized individuals infiltrated the Lok Sabha chamber, causing chaos by shouting slogans and setting off smoke bombs during the session. The intrusion seemed coordinated and involved a total of five individuals.

Hussain proposed demanding a statement from the Home Minister regarding the security breach and suggested engaging in a comprehensive discussion on urgent measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The breach, occurring on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, involved two individuals entering the Lok Sabha chamber, releasing smoke from canisters, and shouting slogans before being subdued by MPs.
