Angry locals and relatives of deceased workers protested outside the explosives manufacturing unit in Nagpur district. They demanded access to factory premises.

The police intervened to disperse the gathering that had blocked the Amravati-Nagpur road near the factory entrance. Security measures were heightened to maintain order.

Considering the presence of explosives near the blast site, bomb disposal squads and security forces were present to secure the area. The safety protocols were in place due to the hazardous situation.

The bodies of the victims were reportedly still inside the factory premises. Authorities were in the process of securing the explosives before the recovery operation could commence.

The factory building sustained severe damage due to the explosion, as confirmed by the police. The blast resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to several workers.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed condolences and announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde approved this decision.

The incident led to the loss of nine lives, including six women, at Solar Industries, a company involved in manufacturing drones and explosives for the armed forces.
