Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday campaigned for Mahayuti candidates Satpute and Nimbalkar

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday used the analogy of a train to take a dig at the opposition INDIA bloc, saying that in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's train, every ally considers itself to be the engine

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the engine of our development. Modiji is a powerful engine, followed by other coaches comprising Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar's NCP, Ramdas Athawale's RPI and other regional parties. Every person from every caste and religion has a seat onboard Mahayuti's train," Fadnavis said

Fadnavis, who was campaigning for BJP candidates Ram Satpute and Ranjit Naik-Nimbalkar, said persons from all castes and religions have seats in the Mahayuti's train

Ranjit Naik-Nimbalkar, the sitting BJP MP whom the party has fielded again, will contest against Dhairyasheel Mohite-Patil, who quit the BJP and joined the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) recently

Mohite-Patil, a former BJP district general secretary is the nephew of Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil, former deputy CM of Maharashtra. On Sunday, a couple of days after quitting the ruling saffron party, he was immediately fielded as a candidate of the Maha Vikas Aghadi from Madha constituency

Elections to Maharashtra's 48 Lok Sabha seats will be held in five phases between April 19 and May 20 and votes will be counted on June 4. Madha will go to polls in the fourth phase on May 13
