Thousands of United Democratic Front (UDF) workers and supporters enthusiastically participated in the roadshow, lining the route at Edavanna, a segment of the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.
Prior to the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi received a warm welcome at Kozhikode airport from party leaders and workers.
Gandhi expressed a dilemma regarding his choice of constituencies, particularly between Wayanad and Rae Bareli, both of which he represents in the Lok Sabha. He assured that whatever decision he makes, it would be in the best interest of both constituencies.
Rahul Gandhi extended gratitude to the people of Wayanad for re-electing him for a second term in the Lok Sabha. He expressed eagerness to reconnect with the constituency and its residents in the near future.
Gandhi took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sarcastically remarked that unlike Modi, he doesn't receive divine guidance for decision-making but rather listens to the voices of ordinary citizens.
Rahul Gandhi reiterated his commitment to representing the interests of the people, positioning himself as a leader who listens to the concerns and aspirations of ordinary citizens.
Asserting the significance of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi suggested that the election results reflected a rejection of hatred and arrogance, signalling a need for the government to adopt a more inclusive approach.
