During her visit to Andaman & Nicobar islands, President Murmu also visited INS Baaz—the southernmost Military airfield, acknowledging ANC's strategic importance
President Murmu also visited the Indira Point, where she interacted with joint services troops, acknowledging and appreciating their unwavering commitment towards national security
The President also interacted with ANC troops over lunch at INS Baaz, thereby recognizing their unwavering contribution to our country's defence
President Murmu is on a visitt to Andaman & Nicobar Islands from February 19 to February 23
During her visit, President Droupadi Murmu also visited the historic Cellular Jail at Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and laid a wreath at the Martyr's Column
She also visited 'Swantantraya Jyot', an eternal flame kept there as a tribute to thousands of freedom fighters who suffered incarceration in jail
