Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore in Odisha's Jajpur district on Tuesday.

PM Modi reiterated the BJP-led central government's dedication to the development of eastern India, which boasts abundant natural resources.

Asserting the government's dual focus on both present and future generations, PM Modi articulated the goal of building a 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India)

The inaugurated projects span various sectors, including Oil & Gas, Railways, Road, Transport & Highways, and Atomic Energy, aimed at bolstering infrastructure and catalysing economic growth in Odisha.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Bishweswar Tudu joined PM Modi at the event.

Meanwhile, PM Modi, at a rally, criticised the Congress and its allies, alleging their focus on self-enrichment rather than developmental initiatives during their tenure prior to 2014, contrasting it with the proactive approach of the BJP-led central government.

PM Modi also highlighted the government's efforts in fulfilling the aspirations of the underprivileged by providing them with permanent housing, access to tap water, and cooking gas connections, transforming dreams into reality for millions of citizens while speaking at the rally.

Over the past decade, the BJP-led central government has made substantial investments in Odisha, laying the foundation for accelerated development and inclusive growth across the state.
