PM Narendra Modi reassured people of Jammu and Kashmir during a public rally in Udhampur that the Centre is committed to restoring the statehood of the region.

PM Modi expressed confidence that assembly elections will soon be held in Jammu and Kashmir, providing an opportunity for residents to engage with their elected MLAs and ministers to address local issues and concerns.

PM Modi also said that the developmental work initiated in Jammu and Kashmir serves as a mere trailer of the transformative changes yet to come.

Highlighting the conducive environment for elections in Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi noted the significant progress made in ensuring security and stability, enabling democratic processes to proceed without fear of terrorism or cross-border firing.

PM Modi stated that the remarkable transformation witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir, with significant investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and tourism, contributed to the region's progress and confidence.

Reflecting on the positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi cited examples such as the establishment of prestigious institutions like AIIMS, IITs, and IIMs, as well as the development of modern infrastructure including roads, tunnels, and railways.

PM Modi reiterated the government's unwavering focus on development, pledging to further elevate Jammu and Kashmir's status by addressing remaining challenges and accelerating progress in key sectors over the next five years.

PM Modi said the NDA-led union government ensured people had access to necessities such as food security through schemes like free ration distribution, and provided a conducive environment for growth and prosperity.
