Parliamentarians raised spirited slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ during the momentous walk.

Following the walk, all Members of Parliament, including PM Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, assembled for a joint photo session ahead of the session in the newly constructed Parliament building.

Prime Minister Modi also addressed members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in the Central Hall of the old Parliament building.

Leader of Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge, too addressed the leaders. He said parliamentarians should commit to preserving constitutional values and ideals.

The Union Cabinet met at the Parliament House Annexe in Delhi, where they approved the Women's Reservation Bill. The bill is expected to be introduced in the ongoing session, addressing the long-standing demand for women's representation in Parliament.
