IN PHOTOS: Massive fire at factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi

In the early hours of Thursday, a major fire broke out in a factory in the Peeragarhi area of Delhi near Peeragarhi metro station. Pics/ PTI&DFS

The Delhi Fire Service were reported about the fire at 4 am on October 12 and they could get the blaze under control by 8 am. The DFS officials said that no one was injured in the blaze in Udyog Nagar.

DFS, in their social media post, said that nearly 33 fire tenders were pressed into service and it took them a while before getting the blaze under control.

In the videos posted by the DFS, one can see the blaze roaring through the facility while the firefighters struggled to extinguish the fire.

In another set of visuals, it can be seen that the factory was entirely gutted in the fire and the goods inside the factory was charred.

The factory, according to the information received, is engaged in shoe-related work. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The DFS in their tweet had said that they used newly procured modern tech equipment like mini robot, multi-articulating water towers etc. to bring the fire under control
