The ceremony was staged in front of Vidhana Soudha, the state legislature and secretariat building, and was the first time such a function had been held in this renowned location.
Similar exercises had previously been conducted at the Chief Minister's home office, 'Krishna', and his official residence.
Department-wise stalls were set up at the venue to assist citizens in seeking redressal for their grievances.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to resolve the applications received from citizens within three months; Siddaramaiah personally met with citizens, especially those with disabilities, health issues, elderly individuals, and women, to receive their applications and assure them of a quick response.
People had begun arriving at Vidhana Soudha from distant places the previous night.
The application registration process commenced early in the morning, and additional counters were opened to accommodate the unexpectedly high turnout.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by the police, with a significant deployment of personnel to manage the large gathering. Addtionally, each stall had assigned nodal officers to gather information from citizens and direct them to the appropriate departments for further assistance.
