Bhagwant Mann’s mother Harpal Kaur gets emotional in first appearance after result. Mann, a Punjab MP from Sangrur and Aam Aadmi Party's face for the Punjab assembly polls, is set to be the next chief minister with the party poised for a historic verdict in the state.

Bhagwant Mann said that the thrust areas for his government would be improving the condition of schools, health infrastructure, bringing back industry, making agriculture profitable, providing security to women and improving sports infrastructure

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday termed the massive victory of his party in Punjab as 'Inquilab'.

It was not just a simple victory. In fact, the AAP trounced the 2022 Assembly polls this time by winning over 90 seats in the 117-seat Punjab Assembly. It is the first time that the party has expanded its political footprint beyond Delhi.

Calling Mann his "younger brother", Arvind Kejriwal said that of the total responses, 93.3 per cent wanted Mann.

Mann said that no government office will display photograph of the chief minister. He instructed party members and cabinet ministers to only display pictures of Bhagat Singh and B R Ambedkar in their offices and other walls of government offices
