In light of large gatherings, Delhi Police ensured heightened security arrangements for a safe celebration. In Amritsar, devotees gathered at the Golden Temple to celebrate the arrival of the new year with prayers and joy.
People in Bhopal and Lucknow were seen dancing in the streets, filled with excitement and energy as the clock struck midnight.
Many cities, including Mumbai, witnessed spectacular fireworks displays, adding to the excitement of the evening.
Revelers flocked to popular Mumbai beaches like Juhu, Chowpatty, and Versova to welcome 2025, with Marine Drive also witnessing large crowds.
The scenic town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh saw tourists and locals alike dancing in the streets to ring in the New Year.
In West Bengal, people used their mobile phone lights to add to the festivities, creating a stunning visual effect.
In Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram, fireworks painted the sky with vibrant colours to celebrate the arrival of 2025.
People in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh marked the New Year by cutting cakes, a beloved tradition of the region.
In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, the streets resonated with the sound of percussion instruments, adding to the festive atmosphere. Chennai witnessed a huge crowd celebrating the New Year with much enthusiasm and fervour.
People in Ranchi, Jharkhand, welcomed the new year with spontaneous dancing and singing, celebrating with vigour.
 

President Droupadi Murmu sent her heartfelt wishes to the nation, urging everyone to embrace the New Year with hope and unity.
