France has banned these demonstrations to prevent potential disturbances to public order

These demonstrations are a part of a global movement expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conflict

Several developed nations are taking measures to limit such protests

In Sydney, Australia's most populous state in New South Wales, one of the largest gatherings attracted hundreds of police officers who patrolled the area. A police helicopter also circled low over the event

Pro-Palestine rallies reportedly also took place in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, and Melbourne, the capital of Victoria

Meanwhile, thousands took the streets of the Moroccan capital on Sunday to rally in support of Palestinians in Gaza and denounce Israel's actions in the latest war with Gaza's militant Hamas rulers (AP)

Waving Palestinian flags, the rally also marked a major showing for the banned Islamist movement Al Adl Wa Ihssane (AP)

Demonstrators marched in central Rabat and threw smoke bombs and fireworks as riot police stood between them and the Parliament building and other landmarks (AP)
