Despite unsuccessful talks with authorities the previous night, the protesters remain resolute in their demands. Protesters are calling for more participants to join the demonstration, with the expectation of a larger turnout today.
The aspirants have brought biscuits and other supplies, vowing to continue their peaceful protest until their demands are addressed. They believe holding the exams in a single shift would make the process fairer and more manageable for candidates.
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the state government over the ongoing protest. Yadav referred to the protest as "Yogi vs competitor students" and questioned whether the government would target student accommodations with bulldozers.
Yadav accused the BJP of focusing on communal politics, which he claims diverted attention from pressing issues such as jobs and unfilled vacancies.
He further stated that the BJP's actions were frustrating the youth, pushing them from their study desks onto the streets in protest.
