AAP staged a protest within Delhi Assembly against arrest of their national convenor & CM Arvind Kejriwal; they wore t-shirts emblazoned with Main Bhi Kejriwal

Inside the Assembly, legislators from AAP entered the well of the House and raised slogans in support of the Chief Minister while criticising the actions of Narendra Modi-led government.

In addition to wearing yellow T-shirts, protestors donned face masks featuring Arvind Kejriwal's image, further reinforcing their message of support and dissent against the arrest.

Proceedings in the Delhi Assembly were disrupted as AAP MLAs voice their dissent, leading to an adjournment of the House due to the disturbances caused by the protest.

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged harassment by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and accused them of raiding AAP offices and preventing lawful protests during Lok Sabha Elections 2024. 

AAP leaders claimed that the BJP aims to destabilise their government in Delhi by targeting its leadership, including the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and other ministers.

Atishi, another Delhi Minister, condemning the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal as an attack on democracy, highlighted the unprecedented nature of a sitting Chief Minister's arrest during the election season.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announces planned to address health-related issues in the Assembly session and indicated that protests against Kejriwal's arrest will also be part of their agenda.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 on charges related to the Delhi Excise Policy case sparked outrage and protests among AAP legislators, prompting calls for justice and fair legal proceedings.
