Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where he prayed for the release of party chief Arvind Kejriwal from Tihar jail.

During his visit to the Golden Temple, Sisodia expressed his gratitude to the Almighty for his release on bail. He offered prayers for the victory of truth and justice, recalling his 17-month tenure in Tihar jail, which he described as part of a conspiracy against him.

Sisodia prayed specifically for the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently in Tihar jail in connection with an alleged excise policy scam. Sisodia expressed hope that Kejriwal would soon receive justice, just as he did.

At the Golden Temple complex, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised Sisodia for revolutionising the education sector in India. Mann also voiced optimism that Kejriwal would soon be released, crediting Sisodia’s recent bail to the blessings of God and the justice system.

Although, Manish Sisodia was accompanied by several other AAP leaders, including Punjab ministers and MLAs, during his visit to the Golden Temple, CM Bhagwant Mann emphasised that the visit was purely religious, with no political agenda involved.

During the visit, Bhagwant Mann accused the BJP of attempting to weaken the AAP by imprisoning its leaders, including Sisodia and Kejriwal. Mann suggested that the legal battles faced by AAP leaders were politically motivated.

Manish Sisodia credited his release on bail to the Supreme Court and the country’s Constitution. He expressed his belief that justice had prevailed in his case and hoped that the same would happen for Kejriwal.

Sisodia’s relatives too joined him in paying obeisance and offering prayers at the Golden Temple. The visit was marked by a strong sense of relief and gratitude following Sisodia’s release from Tihar jail.
