Amid the protests in Chandigarh, AAP workers clashed with police as their tried to force their way past barricades put in place.

Chandigarh police deployed a water cannon to disperse AAP workers attempting to 'gherao' the Punjab BJP office.

Tear gas shells filled the air as police use them to disperse the agitating AAP workers in Chandigarh.

AAP Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema addressed reporters, criticising the central government for Sanjay Singh's arrest.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal condemned the arrest of Sanjay Singh, calling it "completely illegal" and predicting further opposition arrests in the run-up to the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Sanjay Singh, who has been remanded in five-day ED custody, was arrested after raids on his home in connection with Delhi Excise Policy Scam case.
